Catch Me If You Can

I really like this simple and effective approach to figure animation, it is something i may choose to employ within one of my briefs. It might be appropriate for my cannibals brief.
I also saw this parody of the catch me if you can title sequence on The Simpsons, as Homer and Marge are trying to escape Bart and Lisa. It is effective in both humor and style. Please use link below to view:

Instructional/Information Graphics

a good reference for initial style thoughts, possibly use a pan over the surface of an instructional card, much like the original grange hill intro.

FBH Incite

On an aesthetic note I really love this image, especially the take on the hammer and sickle being replaced by a mouse and a pen.

FBH Incite are a company which i came across while looking for the creators of the BUPA TV Adverts. There website has a brilliant flash layout which can be navigated with their hand based box or by simply clicking from link to link. In terms of their design beliefs/work ethic i think they have similar ideals to my own. And I have contacted them in an attempt to arrange a work placement or even just a meeting to see were they are based.

Bupa Adverts

These adverts for BUPA are really entertaining, quirky and informative, they help simplify the private health care process and industry. Make it seem more accessible to the general public. They were done by FBH Incite.

Facts About Projection

Facts About Projection from Studiocanoe on Vimeo.

This video was created by Temujin Doran, it is a documented account of his job as a projectionist, it includes simple small shots along with clips from old 35mm and really conveys the love that he has for this profession, he manged to put across the simple pleasures that the job entails in an interesting and quirky way which makes you want to become a projectionist and prevent the switch to digital cinema.

Airside Greenpeace

Airside have worked with Greenpeace on several projects, however this was their hardest brief yet: was it possible to make dry factual information about decentralised energy entertaining, whilst remaining simple enough for anyone to understand its basic principles.

Airside Virgin

Virgin Trains wanted a series of T.V. commercials to explain the environmental benefits of travelling on a Virgin train, notably that their trains were able to transfer energy back into the National Grid.

Given the starting point of a train track, Airside were approached to create a world through which their energy-saving message could delivered with impact.

Airside Sony

Airside was commissioned by Fallon to produce a series of idents for Sony's sponsorship of the UEFA Champion's League. The idents had to encapsulate the theme of the tournament along with the idea that Bravia televisions delivered a superior viewing experience - 'colour like no other'.

Using Sony's strap-line as a starting point they devised a campaign around a mysterious glowing football. Constructed and superimposed onto backgrounds commissioned from photographer Graeme Stuart, the football's complex framework of coloured neon tubes served as a visual template for each ident. Hovering in the darkness of a deserted stadium, the ethereal object emanated a series of animated colours and patterns to convey the otherworldliness of next generation technology.

With such unique content, strategic positioning of the idents during each televised match of the UEFA Champion's League saw the Bravia line gain a substantially increased consumer awareness.

Land Rover Freelander Advert

EMA My Way Advert

This advert was a government funded project which promoted EMA and the routes/careers that higher education can take you. The style of flat objects making up a 3D space with hands playing the roles is an interesting take, one that i think is very effective.
This style of animated surroundings with live action character recordings is something which i may try to employ later in the cannibal and/or personal infrastructures briefs.
